APS was established in November 1989 with only seven employees. Within the first 5 years, the Company grew dramatically rising to the 4th spot among the Philippine Stock Exchange broker rankings. It was also during these growth years that APS evolved into a full-service discount brokerage firm, offering clients superior service and extensive support products to facilitate informed investment decisions. Likewise, sales desks in key cities of Bacolod and Iloilo were set up to increase market presence outside of Metro Manila. In addition, APS has played key roles in after-market services for certain key stock market issues.

The Company has consistently ranked among the top local brokers since its inception more than 32 years ago. Instilling a culture of initiative and excellence, APS boasts of strong business ties from the Filipino-Chinese community, government and private financial institutions and local retail clients. It also strategically acts as a gateway for emerging entrepreneurs who are looking at investing in the capital market.
APS has remained a formidable force in the industry, weathering several financial crises that have hit the industry. With each crisis, the Company has emerged wiser, more resilient and more stable. The individuals who manage the Company have had strong and extensive experiences in the securities markets. Their leadership roles have enabled the Company to capitalize bull markets & triumph over bear markets.

The Marketing and Backroom Operations are skilled in dealing with major foreign and local Investment and Fund Managers. Among its clientele are leading universal banks, insurance companies, trust accounts, and mutual funds, among others. APS has had numerous experiences in public offerings, private placements and secondary trading of many blue chip stocks.

APS distinguishes itself through its efficient and client-focused services, with emphasis on uncompromising ethical and regulatory standards. Mr. Antonio Y. Esparaz

Chairman of the Board

Mr. Esparaz brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role as the newly appointed Chairman of the Board of AP Securities Incorporated (APS). His role as Nominee was also recently approved by the Philippine Stock Exchange, underscoring his distinguished career and outstanding contributions to the company.

With over 20 years of experience as a stockbroker and portfolio manager, Mr. Esparaz has a proven track record of excellence and leadership. Throughout his career, he has headed various branches of APS, driving significant growth and profitability. His strategic insights and innovative approach have played a pivotal role in positioning APS as a leading firm in the stock brokerage industry.

In his previous role as the company’s corporate secretary, Mr. Esparaz demonstrated exceptional skills in facilitating communication and ensuring the seamless flow of information between the board, senior management, and shareholders. His commitment to corporate governance and transparency has been instrumental in keeping stakeholders well-informed and advised on crucial business matters.

Mr. Esparaz’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of San Carlos.

Mr. Theodore Tan

Director

Mr. Tan is the newly appointed/elected President of AP Securities Incorporated (APS) as of December 1, 2023. Mr. Tan is a Certified Securities Representative with more than 17 years in experience. With APS, he is primarily responsible for executing the directions set by the Board. He also sits as a director in the Angping group of companies. Mr. Tan took up his Masters in Business Administration in the Ateneo Graduate School of Business and holds a degree in Legal Management from the same university.

Ms. Wilma Crisostomo

Director

Ms. Crisostomo, co-founder of AP Securities, Incorporated, served as the president and nominee of the company for almost three decades. Under her leadership, the company, originally named Angping and Associates Securities, Inc., has transformed from a humble team of seven employees into one of the top local brokerages in the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE).

Ms. Crisostomo earned a Bachelor of Science in Education with a minor in Mathematics from St. Scholastica’s College. Her passion for learning and excellence led her to pursue a candidate degree for a Master of Arts in Teaching in Chemistry from the University of the Philippines. Additionally, she has broadened her executive expertise by attending prestigious programs at the Asian Institute of Management and the University of Michigan.

Ms. Nellie A. Asparaz

Director

Ms. Esparaz started her career with Peaksun Enterprises & Export Corporation, the largest independent cement dealer in the Philippines today. Today, she is also the President of Independence Trading, a flour and bakery supplies distribution and trading company. She obtained her degree in Bachelor of Arts in Hotel and Restaurant Management from St. Scholastica’s College.

Ms. Joan C. Ang

Director

Ms. Ang is also the President of Peaksun Enterprises & Export Corporation, the single, biggest independent cement dealer in the country today in terms of Sales Revenues, Transport Equipment and Total Resources. Ms. Ang graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce (Major in Accounting).

Ms. Jocelyn Y. Kho

Independent Director

Ms. Kho is the newly elected Independent Director of AP Securities Incorporated. She has had more than 40 yearsof extensive experience in the fields of accounting & finance. She graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with a Bachelor of science degree in commerce major in accounting.

Mr. Tommy C. Adarme

Independent Director

Mr. Adarme is the newly elected Independent Director of AP Securities Incorporated. He graduated from the University of the Philippines with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. He is aa professional Architect with his own firm T.C. Adarme Architects.
